What is the EQ-9800?
The EQ-9800 is our new color-balanceable laser printer. It prints exceptional
1200x1200 dpi pages up to 12x18 inches. Retailers can color balance the printer just
like they do with their photo printers, helping to deliver consistent, quality color
every time. The EQ-9800 comes with a built-in EFI Fiery© rip, so images look their best.
The printer has a footprint of just over 2x2 feet, and stands a few inches over 3 feet.
The following are included with purchase: 5 paper trays plus a multipurpose manual feed
tray, duplex unit (for auto double-sided printing of pages up to 240gsm weight), on-site
installation and 2-year on-site warranty.
The EQ-9800's Place in the Lucidiom EQ System
The Lucidiom EQ is a system of products that enables retailers to be a one-stop-shop
when it comes to servicing imaging needs and the EQ-9800 printer is a key component in
this system. The Lucidiom EQ system products include order collection points (kiosk,
website, desktop software), order management software and output printers (including
the EQ-9800) and connectivity. The system is flexible and all products fit together
seamlessly, so that retailers can start with the components they need and expand as their
business grows.
EQ Products
For the initial launch, we have developed a new category of products around the
EQ-9800 printer, called Photo Folio. The four core products in Photo Folio are photo
books, folded cards, envelopes and multi-page calendars. In addition to these products,
the EQ-9800 can also print any APM or Luci content up to 12x18 inches, including Luci
Layouts and Luci
Wall Art. Adding the EQ-9800 and Photo Folio enables retailers to expand their offerings
and profit from high-margin, in-demand imaging products that they can produce easily in
their store.
The EQ-9800 products won’t stop at the four core products, however. Our Creative
Team is in constant development of more unique, profit-generating products for production
on this powerful printer. The printer’s accommodation of a variety of paper types and
sizes, the high-quality output and the versatility of the APM's Luci Creative & Photo
Folio engines open the door for more amazing new products for retailers to offer.

US Sales Special for June & July
The Lucidiom APM kiosk already supports flatbed scanning, but with the addition
of the APM Stack Scanner Plus Software and the Kodak i1210, customers can scan in a
stack of 4x6", 5x7" or 8x10" prints in a matter of minutes. The photos get scanned in one
step and loaded into the APM workflow just as if they were being pulled from a camera
card, so the user then has all the options available as he/she would with normal
digital prints.
Features & Benefits:
- Small counter space required; easy setup.
- Digitizing boxes of photos is good business for photo shops and this stack scanner
makes it easy.
- Having a set of scanned photos makes an Image CD and/or DVD Cinema an easy and
logical additional sale for stores.
- Offering an easy archiving service to customers is a great way to differentiate
themselves from "big box" stores.
- Stores can charge for the scanning service (choice of either a flat rate or a
per-image charge), then make additional revenue on each print, CD or DVD created from
the scans.
- Stack scanner & software are both compatible with APM software version 5.0 and above.
US retailers, call your local sales rep, or our main sales office at 703-564-2025 or email
sales@lucidiom.com
to purchase. Retailers outside the US, contact your sales representative for pricing.
Offer expires July 31, 2007.
